OBJECTIVE }
In the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, a city known for its car-centric infrastructure and limited public transit options, addressing the first and last-mile commuting challenges is crucial, especially for low-income areas. Residents often face long and complicated trips to access vital services and employment, leading to increased expenses, time, and safety issues. The lack of diverse transportation choices exacerbates poverty by confining individuals to local, lower-paying jobs, deepening economic disparities, and hindering social advancement.
APPROACH }
IGO was developed to tackle these issues. Its goal is to ease the strain of everyday travel and expand job options for these community members. The service strives to play a key role in disrupting the cycle of poverty, aiming to improve lives and create equal opportunities.
